Welcome to Dronpoint. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website and use our application, and tell you about your privacy rights.

2. The Data We Collect About You

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

  • Identity and Contact Data: Includes email address, username, and encrypted passwords used for account creation.
  • Application Data: Information you input into the app, including flight waypoints, GPS coordinates, mission settings, drone models, camera parameters, preferred measurement units, and solar inspection data (uploaded drone photos, AI analysis results, shared report links).
  • Financial Data: Handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not collect or store your full credit card details.
  • Technical Data: Includes internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting, and operating system.

3. How We Use Your Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

  • To register you as a new user and provide secure login access.
  • To save, sync, and export your flight missions and solar inspection reports across your devices.
  • To process your subscription payments and manage your PRO/Lifetime billing.
  • To improve our application, map rendering, and user experience.

4. Third-Party Services

To provide our services, we share necessary data with trusted third-party providers:

  • Google Firebase: Used for secure user authentication, cloud database storage for your saved missions and solar reports, and AI analysis processing via Cloud Functions.
  • Stripe: Used for secure payment processing.
  • Map Providers (Carto, Esri): We send map viewing requests to these providers to render the visual map tiles in the planner. Your specific flight path coordinates are processed locally in your browser unless explicitly saved to our cloud.
  • Google reCAPTCHA: Used to protect our contact forms from spam and abuse.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser Local Storage to save your unsaved map state, user preferences (such as your selected drone and units), and authentication tokens. This ensures you do not lose your work if you accidentally refresh the page. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies/local storage, but some parts of the application may become inaccessible or not function properly.

6. Data Security and Retention

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way. We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements.

7. Your Legal Rights

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data.
  • Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you.
  • Request erasure of your personal data (Account Deletion).

You can delete individual saved missions directly from your Account Dashboard. To request complete deletion of your account and all associated data, please contact our support.
